Volunteer Work Parties
October - December 2011
Help to restore Prees Heath to heathland and grassland for the benefit
of wildlife and for people to enjoy quiet recreation, and be part of this long-term
high profile project. Enjoy a day in the open air.
Wednesday 5th October - Bell heather
seed harvesting
Wednesday 23rd November - Dead tree clearance
Wednesday 14th December - Activity to be
confirmed, morning only
All work parties start at 10.30am prompt and finish around 3.30pm
Come for half a day or all day, as you wish
No previous experience required – you will be shown how to use the hand tools
Work at your own pace
Meet on the access track off the A49 opposite the Steel Heath turning
Wear suitable clothing and footwear
Bring a packed lunch and a drink
All tools and gloves are provided
